Papillon or Silky Terrier?

Papillons are very smart and easy to train. Many people do find them yappy though. Papillons are okay with kids if raised with them but not amazing. Silky's the same. Both shed minimally, the silky a bit less. The dog that really sounds right for you guys is the Miniature Schnauzer- great with kids and other dogs, easy to housetrain, and no shedding at all. But of your two, maybe the Papillion- but neither are ideal. Both aren't great with smaller kids, they both prefer teens usually. They both shed a little. Both can be housetrained- pappillons are easier. I'd say a CKCS maybe, westies, poodles, cotons...
