How do I tie a ribbon around a favor box, without the ribbon making the box wobble?

I'm trying to tie a ribbon around a small favor box, but the bottom of the box won't sit right. It keeps wobbling. I know that there's a way to tie a ribbon around a box twice over without the ribbon sort of bunching up on the bottom of the box. I did it once about a year ago but I can't remember how. Help!!
