My husband is going to have a Vasectomy?

He goes in on Monday Dec 21st for his Vasectomy, the DR told him to bring a jock strap and make sure we have ice packs at home. My question is should he wear jeans or jogging pants to his appointment? And how long does it usually take? I will be driving him home, I think Im more nervous about it than he is LOL.
